 Monday - Thursday: 8:00 A.M. TO 7:00 P.M


 Friday - Saturday: 8:00 A.M. TO 9:00 P.M
 

 Sundays: 08.00 A.M. TO 7.00 P.M.
 

 Public Holidays: Remains closed​

 02  How do I access the library resources?

​​

 You can access the library resources by following way -

Books - For physical books, first you need to check the online catalogue - http://172.16.90.9000.  Here you can  search the book by Title, Author, keyword etc.  Once you get the result of the availability of the book, you can  note the classification number and a author name, from which it will be easier to find the book on the rack, which  are arranged by the subject-wise and alphabetically author-wise.  Pick the book and issue it from the circulation  section by using your library card.

Periodicals - ( Journals, Magazines and Newspapers )

​

Journals - For physical copies of journals are placed in discussion room.  Latest issues are on the display rack where as the older issues of the same year will be found in the pigeon hole (users need to lift the flap of the rack to get the older issue).  Users can use these journals only reference purpose, as these journal issues cannot be issued outside the library premises, but for getting the photocopy of one or two articles, users can issue the journal for stipulated time.  library is subscribing around 35 International and National Journals as a collection.

Magazines -  are part of Reading Hall, these are also like journal issues, kept on display rack with latest issue on top and older edition under the pigeon hole.  Users can issue the older issues of the magazine/s.  The are more than 25 magazines have been subscribed the library.

Newspapers - There are total 12 newspapers are available in library on

Databases - For E-Resources/Databases - Most of the e-resources are IP authenticated and you can access the same from anywhere within the campus. For more details about e-resources/databases please visit library website under the online resources menu.

 03  Can I get a photocopy service at library?

​​

At present photocopy service is not available at library.

​

 04  Can I get a scanning service at library?

​​

At present scanning facility is not available at library.

​

 05  Can I suggest a book to the library? 

​​

Yes, you can suggest a book to the library by sending an e-mail to ID - 'library.dsims@dsims.org.in'

 06  How do I reserve the book?

​​

You can reserve a book by filling the reservation form, which is available at circulation section.  Once the book  return to the library, you will get an intimation by either an e-mail or by telephone to get the requested book.

​

​

 07  Can I get the remote access for the online databases?

​​

No, you access the databases within the DSIMS campus only.  But, your saved documents can be used  remotely.  So kindly download the resources from databases which browsing from campus, then email the same  to your account and access as and when you need.
