About IGIDR

Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research is an advanced research institute and deemed university established by Reserve Bank of India (RBI).  It is located in the beautiful hillocks of Goregaon (E) near the film city having the architecture of famous Ajanta and Ellora caves.  The institute conducts M.Sc, M.Phil and PhD courses in development economics.  Its state of the art library caters to the information needs of its faculty members, students and also the visitors from other academic institutes.

About Workshop

The aim of the workshop is to give hands-on training to library professionals by providing adequate practical knowledge which will enable them to automate their libraries by using Koha. The workshop will also be useful to those who wish to migrate their existing data to Koha. Workshop comprises of lectures, demonstration and hands-on sessions.  The workshop also aims to impart basic skills to customize OPAC.

About DSIMS

Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies (DSIMS) is one of the constituent institutes of Rajasthani Sammelan Educational Trust (RSET). It is one among the top private Business Management institutions in Mumbai.  It is affiliated to University of Mumbai and recognized by AICTE.  It has been conceived with the ambitious objectives of developing professional expertise and skilled manpower in all functional areas of management.

Koha is an open source Integrated Library Management System (ILMS) which includes various modules such as Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Patron, Serials, OPAC, etc., with advanced features. Koha software is developed using internationally acclaimed standards and protocols which ensures interoperability between Koha and any other library management system. Koha uses MARC21 standard for creating bibliographic records, SIP protocol for RFID configuration and Z39.50 protocol for information retrieval. The software is fully customizable and includes all the latest features and functionalities expected in current age.
